San Diego Padres ball girl tries to catch foul ball, security guard bails (video)

A couple of months ago, we featured a video of a San Diego Padres ball girl making an incredible foul ball catch that even impressed announcer Dick Enberg.

In this clip, another San Diego Padres ball girl (or ball woman?) did her best to make a highlight reel catch but was outshined by a Padres security guard sitting next to her.

The moment happened on Tuesday in the Padres/Cardinals game as St. Louis hitter Pete Kozma hit a line drive into the left field corner near the ball girl.  As she tried to make the play, the security guard decided to flee the scene by running in front of her to get out-of-the-way of the ball.

As the security guard returned to his post, the ball girl gave him a stare that pretty much sums up her thoughts on the guard’s bailing:
