Rangers Vs. Mariners 8/27/13

A weird but sometimes amazing game last night.

First off, maybe the best play of the year, here.  Brendan Ryan makes a sliding stop behind second base on A.J. Pierzynski’s grounder and throws to first to complete the play.

And of course, anytime Tanner Scheppers comes in I have to hold my breath, but he worked out of a jam here. Tanner Scheppers enters the game with no outs and two runners on and works out of the jam, inducing a popup and striking out two.

Of course Leonys Martin is playing great defense in the field here.  Leonys Martin sprints to deep center field to reel in Humberto Quintero’s long fly ball in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Finally, Danny Farquhar is called for a balk by the home-plate umpire, forcing in Ian Kinsler to give the Rangers a 4-3 lead in the 10th here.

Don’t you wish like I do, that MLB would let people embed videos instead of just providing a link to their videos?

Rangers win 4-3 in 10 innings.

Whew.
